A bit about me…

Hi! I’m Liv —a digital creator working across photography and filmmaking in Perth, WA.

My story as a young aspiring creative begins in Margaret River, where I grew up. At the ripe age of 8, I fell in love with visual & performing arts and quickly became heavily involved in theatre groups, dance classes and hobbyest photography & video making. My blossoming talents came into fruition a couple of years later when I won my first photographic competition at the town show. I was awarded a grand prize of $2, which I joyfully accepted. After many subsequent years of fun in the country I began to crave more than what a small town could offer, so I encouraged my family members to pack up our bags and relocate to Perth, which somehow they (most of them) willingly agreed!

I completed high school in Perth, and promptly after left the city to travel and travel some more.. taking up an opportunity to work abroad in France.

Eventually (and reluctantly), I found my way back to Perth and in 2023 completed a double major in Screen Production and Photo- Media at Edith Cowan University. In the lead up to graduation I secured a permanent position as the principal photographic assistant & second shooter for prominent WA photographer- Frances Andrijich. Over 2.5 years, I worked closely alongside Frances and was lucky enough to work on campaigns for clients including; The Australian Women’s Weekly, Qantas Travel Insider, The Australian Magazine, The Guardian Australia, West Australian Ballet, Vasse Felix, Fortescue, Department of Education WA, Leeuwin Estate, and many more!

Now, you will find me working on local photo & film projects, taking french classes or walking my dog Theo at the beach. My recent personal work often utilises a blend of photojournalism and choreographed imagery and is largely inspired through travel and my curiosity with the world. With a large emphasis placed on the intersection between human nature and landscape, I am always aiming to inspire connection, empathy, and a deeper understanding of the world we live in.

Ps. From next month, I’ll be Melbourne-based, where I’m hoping to expand my skillset and collaborate with new creatives!

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch! I am always looking for new assignments, assistant opportunities and making new friends in the industry :)
